Genesis Technologies Is Helping Ukraine - Your Help Is Urgently Needed
Wed Mar 16, 2022
Part of Genesis Technologies’ Mission of Sustainability focuses on people and communities and when the news of Russia invading Ukraine came out and watching the heart wrenching news and stories of what the Ukrainian people are dealing with, we knew we had to help. Everyone wants to help in situations like this one, but it’s not always easy figuring out how one person can get started and help. That’s why Genesis CEO, Michael Kahn, made it our personal mission to do something and get everyone involved.
Using our contacts, we got in touch with an amazing organization, United Hatzalah, doing amazing work minutes after the beginning of the invasion .
As soon as the first group of United Hatzalah delegation progressed towards the border, they were able to assess the real needs on the ground.
They quickly got to work setting up triage medical centers and supply storage units to prepare for what would come next.
More than 150,000 refugees have crossed the Moldovan border so far. The majority of them were women and children. The young husbands were held back to fight and the elderly, who were stopped in their tracks, were Holocaust survivors who had already been through horrific tragedies.
Can you imagine?
The need has been alarming. They immediately shifted into gear at United Hatzalah headquarters in Jerusalem yesterday, preparing for this morning’s second charter flight. They had successfully filled to capacity the aircraft with medical equipment for their field hospital in Moldova and other necessary supplies for the refugees such as food and hygiene products.
Their second delegation is already on their way to Ukraine, thanks to their partnership with El AL airlines!
The flight will then return to Israel with Israelis stuck in the region and then is expected to make a return trip with more equipment and bring back additional refugees. The State of Israel called for an emergency evacuation welcoming everyone back home.
We send strength to the people of Ukraine at this dire time of need.
How Genesis Is Helping Ukraine And How You Can Too
We’ve already began our campaign to raise money to help support the great work United Hatzalah is doing and you can help too. Our CEO Michael Kahn is very passionate about this cause and has a dollar for dollar match up to $5,000. Genesis has already raised over $3,000 to help United Hatzalah attain their $2M donation goal. They are 72% the way there with over 5,000 people having already donated.
